Summary – Chapters 30-40 I found that this whole section of the book is full of high school drama. The thing that the characters do are so childish, even I would never even think of following in their footsteps. I still can’t believe that Mr. Collins married Charlotte (behind Elizabeth’s back)! That was so wrong of him to do. But when Elizabeth decided to go and visit the two of them, I thought that was very kind and thoughtful of her to do. If I was in her position, I probably wouldn’t have done that, I would have probably cut off my friendship I have with Charlotte. I also can’t believe what Darcy did. He is one confused man!!! The letter that he wrote to Elizabeth was so surprising and hurtful for her to read. She probably wants to kick his butt now. I know I would want to do that if I was in her position (because he basically dissed her, her sister, and her whole family nicely). This book keeps on getting more intense and full with drama!!!
Chapter summary : 30-40 After now reading 40 chapters of the novel Pride and Prejudice and beginning to have an understanding of the relationship drama occuring between the characters, I definately found these 10 chapters the most uninteresting by far. The topics from chapter to chapter are choppy and don't have a very steady flow between them. I think that the jumpy consistency of the language is confusin and very hard to follow throughout this section of the novel. One minute you have all the regular, now well known, characters such as Mr. Darcy, Elizabeth, and Mrs. Bennet when suddenly everything shifts and you have completely new characters. Among these characters are Sir William, Lady Catherine, Colonel Fitzwilliam, Anne and Georgiana. my mind is all twisted up trying to figure out who these new characters are that I am not even focused on the events happening in the book, this makes me not understand what is taking place at all and i have to read chapters over again to try and understand the novel more clearly. I read 3 chapters and still had no idea who the people were, what their role was in the book or what they were doing. The only thing i learned in the first time reading these chapters was that these people were very boring and they lived in some nice houses and enjoyed showing off their houses. It was an awful topic to try and read along with.
